ABOUT THE PROJECT
Art and Nature on Prescription was an international training course exploring how creativity, nature and non-formal education can support young people’s mental well-being, personal growth and social inclusion.
Hosted in the peaceful surroundings of Lūznava Manor, the project encouraged participants to reconnect with nature and use artistic expression as a practical tool for holistic well-being.
WHAT WE EXPLORED
- Creative expression using natural materials
- Sensory learning through touch, sight, sound and observation
- Practical art-and-nature methods for youth work
- Mental well-being, inclusion and personal development
- Cross-cultural learning and international cooperation
LEARNING IN NATURE
Participants engaged in creative outdoor activities, mindful observation, deep listening and collaborative reflection. These experiences helped transform the natural environment into an accessible learning space while providing practical methods that participants could adapt for young people in their own communities.

CREATIVITY, WELL-BEING AND CONNECTION
The project strengthened participants’ ability to use art and nature as inclusive tools for supporting young people’s well-being. It also created meaningful connections between European organisations and encouraged the exchange of practical approaches that can be transferred into local youth-work settings.
